What We’re Reading September 6, 2014
We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday September 6, 2014.
So here’s some new and terrifying news. Our intelligence agencies now fear that ISIS is smuggling nuclear and radioactive materials to use them in a terrorist attack.
Oy vey. A group of liberal Christians are calling on humanity to fight ISIS with peaceful nonviolent resistance. While we love the spirit and methods of Gandhi as much as the next guy… ISIS believes that you are either with them or you must be killed. You can’t resist nonviolently if you are dead.
Is anyone else wondering “just how crazy is Vladimir Putin?” Foreign Policy magazine wonders if Russia’s President would really be willing to start World War III.
NATO is meeting in Estonia and baring its teeth across the border at Russia… but the Russians don’t seem worried. Especially after kidnapping an Estonian federal agent while NATO was doing all their talking!
By the way, we’re still fighting terrorists in other places too… not just Iraq and Syria. The White House confirmed Friday that a leader in Somalia’s Al-Shabaab terrorist group had been killed in an airstrike.
The closer we get to the November midterm elections, the more nervous Senate Democrats are getting. They’ve begun begging Obama NOT to sign an Executive Order on amnesty.
Global Warming gets less believable every day.
Surprise! The Bush daughters aren’t Republicans. Why am I not surprised?
