Muslim Terrorist Plot in Tampa Foiled

In Tampa, the trial of a man who is accused of plotting to commit a devastating terrorist attack got interesting last week when prosecutors showed the undercover footage of him preparing his weapons for his assault.

The chilling video shows Sami Osmakac and an undercover FBI agent going over guns, grenades and ammunition, and Osmakac trying on ammunition vests. He’s seen holding the guns, practicing a stance, and learning how to load and reload.

Prosecutors also showed jurors a video of the man, Sami Osmakac, loading up a bomb into his vehicle.

They say his plan was to park his car bomb outside of the popular Tampa late night spot, MacDinton’s Irish Pub, and then detonate the bomb on a busy Thursday night. He is seen looking over the arms cache in the video, (above) which he planned to use to take hostages at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino where he would use the hostages to get imprisoned terrorists released back into action. (Much the way that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was recently used by the Taliban to get 5 of their own released.)

Plans like the one Osmakac was making inevitably give rise to the fear that there may be more homegrown Islamic terrorists scattered throughout our country patiently planning to do us harm. Hopefully, if he is found guilty, this jury of his peers will throw the proverbial book at him, and lock him up for a very long time.
