Obama Playing Politics in Bergdahl Deal?

The White House off guard here… they thought there would be some euphoria around this. That there would be a rally around the flag.

– Chuck Todd on what the White House expected in the aftermath of the Bowe Bergdahl trade.

President Obama rarely does anything without having a political motive to support it. The trade of five Taliban leaders for Sgt. Bowe Berdahl is more of the same. While the Democrats whine and complain about the GOP constantly “politicizing” events that the White House has screwed up… none of those Democrats seem to care that every move by President Obama and his minions is coordinated for maximum political effect.

Watch as Chuck Todd explains what the administration “expected.”

“What’s been interesting, Andrea, what’s caught the White House off guard here, they were expecting Gitmo criticisms of the detainees that were chosen. They did not expect this criticism of the attempt to go get Bergdahl in the way that it was done.”

“It does seem they thought that the military would rally around them. That that would give them the protection, if you will, political protection from dealing through the Qataris with the Taliban.”

“On Sunday, I think they thought there would be some euphoria around this. That there would be a rally around the flag. That didn’t happen.”
