Another Fake ‘Hate Crime’ Busted: KSU Student Admits He Wrote ‘Racist Note’ Himself

A student at Kansas State University has now admitted that he lied when he said that someone left a racist note on his dorm door, police say.

With another student lying about being discriminated against, this incident makes the second race hoax in a year at KSU.

“Beware [racial expletives] live here! Knock at your own risk,” read a note purportedly left on the door frame of a student’s home in Jardine Apartments, WIBW reported.

Jeff Morris, the university’s vice president of communications and marketing, immediately condemned the alleged racist incident, saying the campus community was “rallying behind the students to make sure they know they’re supported and a part of the K-State family.”

Campus police reported to the student body that the “racist note” was all a hoax.

“Upon questioning, the person who reported the incident admitted to creating and posting the note to their own door,” police added. “The matter will be addressed in accordance with applicable disciplinary procedures.”

School administrators said they would handle the situation “according to procedures,” but did not detail just what that meant.

The Times added:

This is the second race hoax in one year that has shaken students at the university. Members of the school’s Black Student Union protested after police declined to charge a black man who admitted to scrawling racist messages on his own car near campus. Dauntarius Williams, of Manhattan, apologized for the “Halloween prank that got out of hand” but was never charged for filing a false police report.

This happens very frequently. Many of these “racist” attacks are fake incidents created to get attention. Some are created in order to attack conservatives and meant to fool people into thinking evil right-wingers committed the crime.

But, as in so many of these incidents, this one turned out to be another hoax.
