“Many residents said traffic jams developed as they left as panicked people fled, some abandoning their cars to try to escape on foot,” the Mail reported.

Evacuees were seen clutching babies and pets as they abandoned vehicles and struck out on foot ahead of the blaze that engulfed the town, destroying hundreds of buildings and causing highway pylons to collapse into roads.

One witness Gina Oviedo described a devastating scene as she fled the town as the flames took over, saying: “Things started exploding. People started getting out of their vehicles and running.”

The fire totally destroyed a popular movie set on Friday, too.

As Breitbart News reported, the old west town used in many films and TV shows was destroyed by the fires engulfing the area.

“The old west town at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills has reportedly been destroyed by fire, according to a tweet from the Santa Monica Mountains Recreation Area,” Breitbart wrote.

Celebrities were also threatened by the fire.

Reality show star Caitlyn Jenner’s home has been destroyed by the Woolsey wildfire in the Malibu hills, a report says.

The sprawling home sat on a ridge overlooking Malibu beach but, according to TMZ, the building was razed on Friday by the wildfire raging across the region.

Jenner purchased the home in 2015 and already faced severe natural disaster damage when 60 MPH winds tore the roof off the building in 2017.

Jenner was not the only member of the Kardashian clan affected by the wildfires. Kim Kardashian West, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian have all been forced out of the homes by the blaze ripping across the area.

A growing number of A-List celebs were not far behind the Kardashians with their homes being threatened by fire in the area. According to the Daily Mail the homes of actor Will Smith and songstress Lady GaGa are also threatened.

Smith recently posted a short video to social media to describe the threat to his home.
