What We’re Reading May 24, 2014

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday May 24, 2014.

Happy Saturday and Happy Memorial Day weekend. Please remember that this weekend’s holiday is NOT about the start of summer, eating hot dogs and hamburgers, watching baseball and hanging out with friends. We DO those things to celebrate and enjoy the freedom we enjoy that our veterans over the course of 250 years have fought so hard to protect. Thank a veteran for their service and consider this weekend how you can join the fight to keep America free.

Happy Memorial Day!

Michelle Malkin has some harsh words for the Obama administration in her latest piece for the National Review. A government that fails to secure its borders is guilty of dereliction of duty. A government that fails to care for our men and women on the front lines is guilty of malpractice. A government that puts the needs of illegal aliens above U.S. veterans for political gain should be prosecuted for criminal neglect bordering on treason.

The Financial Times has found some major issues with the liberal economist du jour.

Global Warming alarmist Paul Erlich – who wrote the famously wrong book “The Population Bomb” – is at it again. Mr. Erlich believes we’ll soon have to turn to cannibalism to survive.

Meet some of the members of China’s infamous “Hacker Army” who were indicted by the Justice Department earlier this week.

Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel doesn’t seem to often agree with president Obama on foreign policy… but he says that President Obama got Syria right. However, that doesn’t mean President Obama should rest in that small victory. He has a whole new Syria problem developing.

Folks need to calm down with the “war criminal” rhetoric in political debate.

Norway opens a racist zoo to teach people not to be racist… or something.
