New Jersey Republican Candidate Gets Letter Threatening the Lives of His 7 Children

A Republican running for Congress on New Jersey has reported receiving a letter threatening the lives of his seven children.

The candidate said the letter was filled with profanity and said, “What the f— is wrong with you … s—bag? You BETTER hope that you don’t win! Or else. How many kids do you have… 7? Unlucky 7. This is what we think of you. Time to get out of politics.”

New Jersey-born Republican Jay Webber, who is now a state representative, is running for the state’s 11th Congressional District, and on Wednesday he jumped to his Twitter account to slam whoever wrote the threats to him and his children.

‘Criticizing a candidate on the issues is part of politics,” Webber wrote. “Threatening my children is not. We are thankful for the support of law enforcement as we work to find whoever is behind this gutless act. We will not be intimidated as we work to make #NJ11 better for everyone.”

“The letter also accused Republicans of stealing from Social Security and Medicare and running up the national debt,” Fox News reported.

Last week, Webber noted that his yard signs have been vandalized by “unhinged leftists.”

On October 19 Webber had tweeted out photos of his signs destroyed.

Webber likely became a particular target because President Donald Trump had tweeted out support of the candidate.
