Leaders of the Alaskan Republican Party are weighing a reprimand for Sen. Murkowski for not voting to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
“Murkowski told reporters that if she worried about political repercussions she wouldn’t be able to do the job Alaskans expect her to do.“. Well, I for one expected her to uphold the constitution, judicial process, and presumption of innocence unless proven guilty with verified factual evidence and multiple witnesses. This she did not do.

Alaska Republican party leaders plan to consider whether to reprimand U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski for opposing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
The party has asked Murkowski to provide any information she might want its state central committee to consider.
Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock says the committee could decide to issue a statement. Or he says it could withdraw support of Murkowski, encourage party officials to look for a replacement and ask that she not seek re-election as a Republican. More
During her 2010 reelection bid, Murkowski lost her GOP primary but went on to win the general election as a write-in candidate.
Babcock told the AP that the party has taken away support from legislators who caucused with Democrats before, and that Alaskan Republicans are outraged with the senator’s decision.
Murkowski, the only Republican senator not to support Kavanaugh’s confirmation in a final floor vote, told reporters that any political retribution for her vote could make it difficult for her to fulfill the job with which Alaskans had tasked her.
Only one Democrat, Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.), supported Kavanaugh’s confirmation in the Saturday vote. More
Lisa, you shot yourself in the foot. She deserves to be reprimanded by the GOP. She put her own agenda ahead of who she was elected to represent.
If Alaska has a recall, time to recall and put a Patriot in the position.
