Affluent Mom Sues School When Son Does Not Make Soccer Team

A mother in an affluent St. Louis suburb has sued her school district because her son didn’t make the 2018 soccer team. Yeah, you read that right. She’s suing.

Apparently, the woman’s snowflake son is crushed that he lost his spot in the school’s soccer program despite being on the freshman team. So, it’s buttinski mommy to the rescue making a federal case out of it claiming sex discrimination because the girl’s soccer team does not have requirements for its players that are as tough as the boy’s team.

Seriously A federal lawsuit. God save us from over privileged, rich folks.

As The New York Post reports:

The unnamed woman, whose son is a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School– located in the most affluent section of the city– filed a lawsuit in federal court this week, claiming the coach’s decision discriminates against her child.

The boy, called John Doe in the Wednesday filing at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, played on the junior varsity team last year, and the suit claims he’s good enough to do so again

“[John] was right on the bubble of making the team this year and has some impressive attributes,” soccer coach Dave Aronberg told the family in an email, court papers show. “However, there were a few holes in his game including technical ability and game decision making that put him behind a number of kids.”

But the family claims both age and sex discrimination are at play, because those rules doesn’t apply to girl’s teams. “Female juniors get to play on the female junior varsity team, but male juniors don’t get to play on the male junior varsity,” said the family’s lawyer, who asked not to be named.

The school says that kids are cut if they don’t meet the requirements and can’t go back to the lesser teams in order to make room for other, up-and-coming younger kids. So, John Doe is out, out, out.

“This was devastating to this kid. All he cares about is soccer.,” Richey Rich’s overly privileged mommy cried.

Well, call this a life lesson, Richey. As the Stones always said, “you can’t always get what you want,” and this is a good lesson for early in life that you have to learn how to deal with life’s little disappointments.

All we can hope is that the judge throws this idiotic lawsuit out of court and that little Rickey Rich is suitably embarrassed by his mother’s actions.
