Dalai Lama Slams Multiculturalism: ‘Refugees Should Return and Rebuild’ Their Homelands

It looks like Tibet’s spiritual leader, the 14th Dalai Lama, is not a big fan of the volume of refugees flooding into Europe. Indeed, he thinks they should all go back to their homelands and rebuild their lives there, not flood into foreign lands.

Not surprisingly, the media isn’t much interested in this story.

The Lama wasn’t cagy, or subtle about his comments, either. In a press conference during a visit to Sweden, the Lama said that “Europe belongs to the Europeans” and added that the refugees should all be sent home.

Breitbart London has the story:

Speaking in the multicultural city of Malmö, where nearly half of residents are of foreign background, with Iraqis making up the largest single group, the leader of Tibetan Buddhism said Sweden is seen as “a peaceful, generally prosperous country” with a relatively small gap between rich and poor.

“Spontaneously”, reports Norrköpings Tidningar, the Dalai Lama then “moved on to talk about one of the biggest issues in the Swedish election — the reception of refugees”.

Noting that a large number of immigrants have settled in Europe from the Middle East and elsewhere, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning spiritual leader said it was good for nations to help “a refugee really facing danger against their life”.

“Receive them, help them, educate them… but ultimately they should develop their own country,” said the 83-year-old Tibetan.

“I think Europe belongs to the Europeans,” he added, stressing that countries like Germany and Sweden should make clear that refugees must “return to their homelands and rebuild them”.

Wow. That is all pretty straight forward, isn’t it? No room for “interpretation,” there!

This stance may not be very surprising coming from the leader of a nation whose political autonomy is always in doubt due to the invading Chinese. I am positive the Lama would like to see the Chinese go home, too.

But this is not the first time the DL has spoken out against mass immigration. In 2016 he also criticized the Arab nations for allowing their peoples to flee their countries. At that time he also said migrants should return from whence they came.

“But on the other hand, there are too many at the moment,” the DL said of the Arab refugees flooding the old country. “Europe, Germany in particular, cannot become an Arab country, Germany is Germany.”

So, the Lama is at least being consistent. Interesting how the media doesn’t much cover this, though, isn’t it?
