Former Cleveland Browns great Big Jim Brown has just come out to endorse the 2020 re-election of President Donald Trump, but he admits that his endorsement will make him unpopular with leftist black activists.
The Hall of Fame running back has finally decided to endorse Trump and say to heck with the left-wing loons who think that all black people have to vote in lockstep with the Democrat Party.
According to Daily Wire:
“I should be criticizing Trump on every level because he does certain things that call for criticism but when I look at television I see all these announcers become experts and they’re pointing the fingers and they’re not doing a doggone thing but pointing their fingers, I find myself really pulling for the president,” Brown said.
“Now, that would make me very unpopular in the black community, very unpopular with a lot of Americans … but I think that there are certain good things that are coming out of this presidency because we’ve never seen anything like it,” Brown said, as reported by TMZ.
Brown said it’s his duty as a good American. “I believe that I have to work on myself first to be as good a person as I could be to back up my country as best as I know how.”
Brown has been very vocal lately about how much he dislikes the NFL’s constant protests during the national anthem. So, maybe this endorsement is not a big surprise, after all.
The left must be starting to worry about blacks leaving the Democrat Plantation, though.
Remember how left-wing, race-baiters went crazy when rapper Kanye West said that he likes Trump and that blacks don’t have to vote for Democrats? And remember the backlash Chance the Rapper suffered when he also said that blacks don’t all have to act like lemmings and vote for Democrats? And just look at the daily attacks that black conservative Candace Owens is suffering every single day! They are very worried, folks.
The left was also alarmed by recent polls showing black support for Trump is growing.
Everything is coming up Trump, it appears. But, let’s not put on the breaks by letting Democrats take over control of Congress after these upcoming midterms. Even the worst Republican is still better than a Democrat. Vote accordingly.
