DISASTER: CNN Sees Worse Ratings Than ‘Pawn Stars’ and Shows About Space Aliens

Warner Todd Huston

CNN is doing so badly in the ratings, the TV reality shows Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens are beating it in the ratings.

According to Daily Caller, CNN has fallen so far in the ratings that the somewhat schlocky shows on this misnamed History Channel is beating the famed “news” channel in the ratings.

Daily Caller recently reported that Fox News ranked number one in total prime time viewers for the week of August 6-12 with 2.18 million viewers on average. Fox’s big win was followed by MSNBC in second place with 1.75 million viewers. But CNN was way way back in the pack. Not even in third place!

Indeed, CNN measured in at seventh place on the list, well behind cable networks such as Home and Garden Television (1.33 million), USA Network (1.25 million), the History Channel (1.06 million) and TBS Network (1.02 million).

That means that CNN couldn’t beat repeats of Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and Mountain Men, and that paragon of truth and news, Ancient Aliens.

The bad ratings news continued to beat CNN about the head. As Breitbart News reported on Wednesday, CNN had another embarrassing week last week.

AdWeek reports that in the week of August 13-19, CNN experienced a 23 percent drop in total viewer average during primetime in comparison to the same week in 2017. During the daytime, there was another drop in ratings of 24 percent since last year.

MSNBC only experienced a drop of 8 percent in primetime and 5 percent in daytime since last year. Fox News Channel, on the other hand, actually increased their viewership by 4 percent all around.

This is the station that is supposedly the first word in cable news!

Liberals have always said that CNN is the “most trusted name in cable news,” and yet Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens is beating it in the ratings! This is a major embarrassment for the left’s favorite news station.
