A Georgia grade school has proudly announced that it is eliminating the Pledge of Allegiance in order to be “more inclusive.”
So, pledging to support America is now “divisive,” according to these “educators”?
Apparently so. The story comes from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
The decision was made “in an effort to begin our day as a fully inclusive and connected community,” Zelski said. “Over the past couple of years it has become increasingly obvious that more and more of our community were choosing to not stand and/or recite the pledge.”
Oh, but it gets worse. Not only are these ignorant “educators” claiming that the proper Pledge of Alliegiance is somehow evil, but now they are writing their OWN pledge!
“Teachers and the K-5 leadership team will be working with students to create a school pledge that we can say together at morning meeting,” Zelski said.
That pledge, she said, “will focus on students’ civic responsibility to their school family, community, country and our global society.”
Are these “educators” next going to write their own history, their own grammar, their own… well, I guess that is what the folks infesting our fetid system of miseducation has been doing for decades, haven’t they?
At some point, I blame conservatives for the terrible state of affairs in our joke of an education system. After all, left-wingers have been telling us straight on with no deception that they intend to totally remake our schools into liberal indoctrination centers. Yet, the right has stood idly by doing nothing about it.
In fact, leftists have been saying this since the late 1800s when people like Thomas Dewey — and a little later James Beard — said that they want to tear down the reverence citizens have for America. James Beard, for instance, claimed that the U.S. was founded by evil, rich white guys who did not care about anyone’s rights. He said that the Constitution is nothing but a sham. And this is what he taught students for decades.
What did conservatives do about all these lies? They abandoned education to the left.
Now we have kindergartners taught that the Pledge of Alligience is evil.
