According to The Wall Street Journal, Federal prosecutors are investigating Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney and fixer, over his alleged tax fraud.
They are probing whether Cohen’s income from his taxi medallion business was under-reported on his federal tax returns. The income included hundreds of thousands of dollars he got in cash and other payments.

The Journal also reported that prosecutors have subpoenaed Jeffrey Getzel, an accountant who prepared many of Cohen’s financial statements for submission to banks. Getzel also worked for taxi-medallion manager Evgeny Freidman, who is cooperating with the federal investigation.
Cohen’s attorney, Lanny Davis, told Fox News that “in light of the ongoing investigation, I am unable to respond” to the report.
Prosecutors have said previously that they were investigating fraud in Cohen’s business dealings, but have not publicly disclosed details. Cohen has not been charged with any crime. More
I can’t stand to listen to Shepard Smith you can tell by the way he “reports” he’s a democrat that really hates President Trump. Shepard Smith is suffering from T.D.S. and is no different than the reporters on all the fake news networks! Oh no the sky is falling. Shepard Smith just go ahead and put in your resume in at CNN because that’s where you belong.
The FBI raided Cohen’s home, office, and hotel room in April, seeking bank and business records on Cohen’s dealing in the taxi industry, his communications with the Trump campaign, and information on payments made to women who claimed they had affairs with Trump.
Cohen’s relationship with Trump has turned sour in recent weeks as the news broke that Cohen secretly recorded a conversation with Trump discussing a payment to a former Playboy model two months before the 2016 election.
Last month CNN reported that Cohen was willing to tell special counsel Robert Mueller that Trump knew in advance about a now-infamous Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya predicated on the promise of dirt on political rival Hillary Clinton. Trump denied this was true. More
