How can Antifa veto a political rally? By rioting. The police do the rest.

Reading these stories about how a permit for a political rally was revoked, perhaps we need to officially recognize the Antifa veto as an exception to the First Amendment. All Antifa has to do is start a riot. The police then will revoke the permit and the media will always cover the incident as if the Republican side was equally a participant in violence.

And we’re supposed to believe that the Trump supporters are the fascists?

The Oregonian reports, “Portland Police revoke permit, declare riot as protesters clash downtown.

Portland Police declared a riot Saturday after tensions between the right-wing Patriot Prayer group and local anti-fascist activists came to a head and broke out in violence.

The afternoon began with a permitted rally at Terry Schrunk Federal Plaza organized by Joey Gibson, U.S. Senate candidate for Washington and leader of the right-wing, Vancouver-based group.

A counter-demonstration by masked local anti-fascist groups gathered nearby among a heavy police presence. Officers seized weapons such as utility knives, clubs and chemical sprays, detaining several protesters early on.

Things turned ugly shortly after 6 p.m., when Patriot Prayer protesters spilled into Third Avenue to begin their permitted march through the streets of Portland.

Antifascist counter-demonstrators immediately began lobbing eggs, half-empty water bottles and firecrackers at the conservative marchers, prompting federal police to fire paintballs filled with pepper spray into the crowd.

Portland police said four people were struck by the projectiles and had to be taken to the hospital. An officer was also struck and taken to the hospital.

The bureau declared a riot and revoked the march permit soon after police said they witnessed several instances of assault and other criminal activity.

KATU added a few details in their report, “Police revoke permit for march, declare downtown Portland protests a riot.

The “Freedom and Courage” rally hosted by the right-wing Patriot Prayer group and its well-known leader, Joey Gibson, gathered at Terry Schrunk Plaza before taking to the streets. The group was granted a permit for the march, but police canceled it once violence ensued.

A heavy presence of antifa (antifascist) protesters gathered in the area for a “Defend PDX: Patriot Prayer’s Violence Must End” rally.

For hours, the two groups mostly yelled at each other, but once the Patriot Prayer members mobilized the situation quickly spiraled into violence.

Joey Gibson, who is currently a U.S. Senate candidate for Washington, made a long speech […].

Many Patriot Prayer members wore “Gibson for Senate” T-shirts while singing along to “We Will Rock You” by Queen at the rally.

“Courage is the backbone to freedom,” reads the description on the ‘Freedom and Courage’ rally event page. “The nation is EXTREMELY angry about how Portland citizens treated Freedom Loving Americans who marched in the streets of this dangerous city.”
