Leftist Comedian Hopes Economy Crashes because of Trump-Hate

Written by eaglerising

How’s this for the “empathetic” left?

They’ve become so deranged that some of them are actively wishing hurt upon our nation and our people, in the hopes that it will end the Trump presidency sooner rather than later.

One of the left’s paragons of virtue, Bill Maher, hosts Real Time on HBO and could be heard on Friday admitting that he’s hoping that the bottom falls out from under our economy. Maher even admits that such an event would likely hurt many Americans, but he’d rather these people hurt than “lose our democracy.”

Both segments of these messages prove that Maher is unhinged. First, our democracy is in no danger. The President was duly elected, he’s done nothing to undermine our Republic, and if he tried to consolidate power in the Executive Branch – the legislature, the courts, and the media would stop him. Secondly, wishing hurt on people because your political “tribe” isn’t doing as well as you’d like is selfish and disgusting.

Sadly, it’s not just Maher. The supposed “journalist” and NBC analyst John Heilemann, jumped in (without ever criticizing Maher for wishing hurt on innocent Americans) to also bash Trump.

Bill Maher: “Can I ask about the economy because this economy is going pretty well? I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I’m hoping for it. Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So, please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.

John Heilemann: “Trump is doing everything you can possibly do to screw up the economy. It’s like everything is going great. This is the great thing — you watch Trump’s rhetoric. He says this is the lowest unemployment ever, African-Americans are doing great, we’re all doing fantastic, best ever. But also, ‘It’s a disaster, we have to change everything. America is getting robbed blind by the foreigners.’ It’s like what the fuck are you talking about? Are we having a good economy or a bad economy? If we have a good economy, why not just say let it ride. If we have a bad economy, we’ll have another conversation, but he’s making no sense with his refrain.”

Ladies and gentlemen, today’s example of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
