Defensive Mom bites off Dog’s Ear

Chelsi Camp is a hero. She’s also proof of what a mother can accomplish when it comes to protecting her child. Recently, Chelsi was put to the test when a friend of hers asked her to dog sit for them. Being a dog lover, Chelsi was happy to watch her friend’s pet.

That’s when the trouble started.

“The dog came up and he was just curious,” recalled Camp. “When he smelled her, that’s when you saw it flip because I think he smelled my dog on her.”

The dog “flipped” by attacking Camp’s daughter McKenzi. The dog bit the girls face and that’s when Camp went into action. The protective mom shoved her fist into the dog’s mouth and even went so far as to bite the dog’s ear clean off. A police officer finally arrived and shot the dog, but didn’t kill it, which finally ended the attack. (The dog was eventually euthanized.)

The mom and little girl should be fine – but this ordeal is instructive of how far a mom will go to protect her children.
