So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday April 21, 2014.

The canonization of Pope John Paul II is drawing millions to Rome for what is sure to be a very crowded ceremony.

Speaking of Popes… the current Pope, Pope Francis, had a lot to say during this year’s Easter mass. Specifically he called for an end to war and for an end to the wastefulness that is exacerbating the problems of hunger around the world.

Ukraine’s Jews are being encouraged to flee the embattled nation – those who’ve seen these things before say that nothing in Europe has changed since WW II. Could the world really allow another pogrom against the Jewish people?

Justice Scalia had a lot of things to say that many conservatives (and liberals) are going to find truly worrisome.

Will the Western states really move to reclaim their land from the federal government?
