ACLU Wants to Deny President Trump’s Rights! [VIDEO]

Celebrating the raid on his lawyer, the ACLU denies Trump gets attorney-client privilege or basic privacy.

To sum up what’s happened to hurt the Trump Presidency, the ACLU denies everything they claim to stand for. Under the nebulous platitude “rule of law” they rejoice in a termination of civil rights. When has the ACLU ever approved of discovering and punishing the guilty by violating their civil rights? Probably never! For any “normal” criminal like a murderer or rapist, the ACLU would always defend their civil liberties. So even if they believe Donald Trump is guilty of some serious crime, their double standard is still inexcusable.

The ACLU doesn’t believe in equality before the law.

Breitbart reports, “ACLU Celebrates Raid on Trump’s Lawyer: ‘The Rule of Law is Alive’

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has published an article celebrating the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s personal lawyer as a victory for the rule of law — not a violation of attorney-client privilege and the president’s constitutional rights.

Earlier this week, the FBI raided attorney Michael Cohen’s office, apartment, and hotel room, seizing materials that included communications from Trump to his lawyer. The government typically cannot have access to those communications. In cases where it is necessary to study such communications, the FBI establishes a supposedly independent “taint team” that sifts through the material and, theoretically, only passes on evidence to prosecutors that does not violate attorney-client privilege.

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, one of the country’s foremost defense lawyers and a civil libertarian who supported Hillary Clinton for president, condemned the raid.

“If this were Hillary Clinton being investigated and they went into her lawyer’s office, the ACLU would be on every television station in America jumping up and down,” he told Fox News this week.

Here is the interview with Alan Dershowitz complete with his rant at the end: “Shame on the ACLU!” Interestingly, Dershowitz used to be on the board of the ACLU.

Dershowitz also spoke with Sean Hannity. Real Clear Politics posted the video and the transcript. Here’s a snip:

Look, this is a very dangerous day today for lawyer-client relations. I deal with clients all the time. I tell them on my word of honor that what you tell me is sacrosanct. And now they say just based on probable cause even though there was cooperation with Cohen, they can burst into the office, grab all the computers and then give it to another FBI agent and say you are the firewall. We want you now to read all these confidential communications. Tell us which ones we can get and which ones we can’t get.

You know, if this were the shoe on the other foot. If this were Hillary Clinton being investigated and they went into her lawyer’s office, the ACLU would be on every television station in America jumping up and down. The deafening silence of the ACLU and civil libertarians about the intrusion into the lawyer-client confidentiality is really appalling.
