New Book Debunks Lies about Media Reporting on Trump

On Wednesday’s episode of Bill O’Reilly’s popular podcast, the host spoke with Eddie Scarry, author of the new book Fraud or Fiction: the Real Truth Behind Fire and Fury.

Author, Eddie Scarry was a guest on Wednesday’s No Spin News. Scarry recently released a book titled, Fraud and Fiction: The Real Truth Behind Fire and Fury, so Bill asked him to debunk a couple of myths that the media has made up about Trump. Scarry says that Trump bypassed the Republican party, the Democratic party, the media and other structures to win the presidential nomination which is why there is a lot of bitterness towards him. In the book Scarry debunks many of the media myths about Donald Trump that have popped up over the last year or so, particularly the ones that get sensationalized in Michael Wolf’s book Fire and Fury.

Through the book Scarry makes the case that there has been a systemic media assault on the truth about Donald Trump and that the media has cared more about sensationalizing the President than they have about it covering him accurately.

O’Reilly agreed with the author but took things a step further saying that there had been a concerted effort by the media to depose the President because he didn’t fit the media’s mold of what a President should be.

“I have framed the story of the media and President Trump as a media coup. That the media did not like the fact that this man was elected because they were all against him. And now they say, ‘You know, we’re going to get him out of there. We’re going to do everything that we can to get the president of the United States out of office.'”
