It make more sense to use military resources and personnel at the border than in far-away countries!

Donald Trump said yesterday that he will use military might as Commander-in-Chief to guard the southern border of the United States. While using Armed Forces to watch over our borders shouldn’t be controversial, I expect this to cause outrage as Trump pursues the option. The President is obviously frustrated by our intentionally unenforceable immigration laws that seem aimed at causing an influx of illegal aliens.

The Daily Caller reports, “Trump: We Will Guard Our Border With Our Military.

“We are going to be guarding our border with our military. That’s a big step,” Trump told reporters gathered at the White House. “We cannot have people flowing into our country illegally, disappearing, and by the way never showing up for court.”

The President’s comments appear to take aim at current US policy which requires border agents to catch then release family units who arrive at the border from noncontiguous countries.

He also said he had spoken with Secretary of Defense James Mattis about the use of the military to guard the border.

Of course the question is: Will the military get there in time to halt the invasion? There is still a huge group of invaders being led through Mexico to our border.

The Washington Examiner reports, “Third Mexican town welcomes migrant ‘caravan,’ 400 miles closer to US.

A caravan of some 1,500 Latin American migrants, welcomed into Mexico on their 1,900-mile trek to the United States where they plan to demand asylum, was welcomed by a third Mexican town 400 miles into their journey.

On Facebook, organizer Pueblo Sin Fronteras wrote, “Thanks to the community Matias Romero for his solidarity with the caravan viacrusis migrants in the fight.”

It also gave a PayPal account to offer donations. And Washington-based reporters reached out through the Facebook account for help covering the caravan.

On Twitter, it added, “Afternoon of laughter and play in Matias Romero. Caravan “Viacrusis migrants in the fight.”

The town is about 400 miles from the Mexican-Guatemalan border. When they crossed that border, the group praised Mexican authorities for stepping aside.
