Eric Holder Thinks Gun Rights Advocates have No Common Sense

Attorney General Eric Holder thinks that advocates of Constitutional freedoms have no common sense. For example, they don’t seem to like his latest bright idea – forcing gun owners to wear a bracelet if they want to use their firearm.

What AG Holder obviously forgets (or simply doesn’t care about) is the fact that gun ownership is not a privilege that the government can legislate. American citizens have the inalienable right to own and carry firearms and that right cannot be infringed upon… which is exactly what smart guns can do – infringe. In reality, using smart guns as a covert means of gun control is an incredibly stupid idea and can hardly be classified as “common sense.”

Attorney General Eric Holder: I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get past those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe by making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.

It’s those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights, while at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily basis.

Thankfully there are still people willing to speak up for our rights and liberties. In this instance, Sarah Palin is the one speaking out.

“You don’t want to go there, buddy.”

Go get him, Sarah!
