So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Wednesday March 19, 2014.

Crisis in Crimea. It looks like things may quickly be escalating between Russia and Ukraine as armed forces have begun to exchange fire.

How powerful is the NSA spying program? They have a tool, dubbed RETRO, that can reach into the past to listen in on old phone calls. They also recorded every single phone call made in one target country over the course of a year – EVERY SINGLE CALL.

Under Obamacare healthcare premiums are rising faster than they did in the eight years prior to Obamacare COMNBINED. Surprise, surprise… under Obamacare insurance companies are making more profits while paying out less money than they were before. Obamacare is leaving one Las Vegas man with a hospital bill of more than $400,000! An Iowa Pastor who was diagnosed with cancer says that there is “No compassion in the Affordable Care Act.”

Disgusting. The D.C. Abortion Fund is offering a coat-hanger pendant to anyone who donates at least $10 or more a month to their cause.

The White House’s official pastry chef has resigned saying, “I don’t want to demonize cream, butter, sugar and eggs.” The New York Times says that Michelle Obama’s push towards “healthier” foods is part of the reason for his resignation.

In Illinois Republican voters are eyeing an historic comeback and have their sights set on the Governor’s Mansion.
