By now, Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg has become a household name. Everyone knows his face and his agenda, neither of which are enticing.
Hogg is pushing gun control and believes his voice is somehow more powerful than our constitutional rights. Sorry pal, but my rights don’t stop where your feelings begin.
“We aren’t pushing a liberal or conservative agenda here,” Hogg said during a Twitter livestream, “We are pushing an agenda to save lives and the future of America.”
He then proceeded to attack the National Rifle Association again, “These lobbyist groups, like the NRA, they can buy our politicians, but they can’t buy our voices as American citizens and we need to realize that because when we don’t, we don’t have a democracy, we have a dictatorship.”
Then he brings “white privilege” into the argument. As if his points weren’t already complete crap, he began ranting about a mythological “privilege.”
“There is a lot of racial disparity in the way that this is covered. If this happened in a place of a lower socio-economic status or a place like a black community, no matter how well those people spoke, I don’t think the media would cover it the same,” he continued, “We have to use our white privilege now to make sure that all of the voices — all of the people that have died as a result of this and haven’t been covered the same can now be heard. It’s sad, but it’s true.”
