Donald Trump’s Approval Rating at Half; Beat’s Obama’s by 7 Percent

With Donald Trump’s approval rating at 50 percent, it seems the media is failing in its Democratic mission.

What is interesting about Donald Trump’s approval rating is that it coincides with a poll that finds only 37 percent think the country is going in the right direction. This strongly suggests that there are many who like Trump but believe the country is being negatively influenced by other players. Perhaps that reflects the anti-Trump media and the deep state.

Maybe it reflects dismay about anti-Trump Republicanism:

According to Rasmussen:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-eight percent (48%) disapprove.

By comparison, President Obama earned 43% approval on this date in the second year of his presidency.

The latest figures include 35% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 39% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -4.


Forty-one percent (41%) believe stricter gun control laws would do the most to reduce the number of mass murders, while just as many (40%) say more action to treat mental health issues would make the biggest difference.

But Americans aren’t convinced stricter gun laws will reduce crime and don’t trust the government to enforce those laws.

Amid renewed calls for stricter gun control, most Americans who have guns at home say it makes them feel safer.


Only 37% of voters think the country is headed in the right direction.
