Mitt Romney Announces He Will Announce Senate Run Tomorrow

As Mitt Romney announces the launch of his campaign on social media, conservatives have to wonder what his role will be.

Of course, it’s questionable that Mitt Romney announces his run because he’s been announcing he was going to announce something—and everyone knew that thing was a Senate run—for some time now.

Romney’s use of social media is somewhat surprising, but maybe he’s learned from Donald Trump how effective that can be.

We need to keep that Senate seat Republican, but I worry Romney will become the spokesmodel for the Never-Trumpers.

The Washington Examiner reports, “Mitt Romney to announce Senate run Thursday on social media.

Mitt Romney will launch his Utah Senate campaign Thursday morning with a low key announcement on social media, and will make his first public appearance a day later near Salt Lake City with a keynote address to a gathering of grassroots Republicans.

Romney teased his run for Senate in a Feb. 1 tweet, saying that he would have an announcement to make on Feb. 15. On Wednesday, Romney previewed his campaign again in a short Facebook post.
