Rep. Michele Bachmann is Fighting for your Religious Freedom

Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has long been an object of derision for the left. Her ardent stand on Midwestern American values has made her the butt of many a leftist joke, and her willingness to stand in the way of liberal policies has put her in the crosshairs of many a liberal pundit. But Michele Bachmann doesn’t seem to care. She doesn’t seem to mind the battering she has taken in the media and among the punditry.

I have a guess as to why.

She really believes the things that she says – so fighting for her beliefs is always worthwhile, even when it brings pain.

This time around she is making waves for standing up to the fascist gay lobby as they work to strip us of our religious liberty.

“The thing that I think is getting a little tiresome is that the gay communities have so bullied the American people and they’ve so intimidated politicians. The politicians fear them, and so they think that they get to dictate the agenda everywhere,” Bachmann said. “Well not with the Constitution you don’t.”

Bachmann said that LGBT lobbyists were free to advocate to “take away my religious liberties,” and that is within their rights, “but you do it through the Constitutional process.”

When the radio show host argued that there were no moves by the Democratic Party to remove religious liberties from the U.S. Constitution, Bachmann countered: “Why should they? They’ve used the court so brilliantly over the years with activist judges. Now they’ve got a lawless president who’s violating the Constitution with every executive order.”

Go get ‘em Michele! Thanks for fighting for us.
