What We’re Reading March 10, 2014

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday March 10, 2014.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has won the straw poll at CPAC for the second year in a row. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) finished a pretty distant second – but the one two finish of the Republican Party’s powerful up-and-comers should tell you a lot about the mood of the party.

Sarah Palin did what she does best on the last day of CPAC – rile up conservatives! She was the keynote speaker of CPAC 2014 and boy did she ever get the job done. Here are some of her best moments…

“The age of Obama is almost over. This is the end of an error, he is the lamest of lame ducks.”

Palin also offered praise to Senator Cruz and parodied the Green Eggs and Ham routine from his famous filibuster.

“I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like this health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like this spyin’ man, I do not like ‘Oh, yes we can.’ I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it nope, nope, nope.”

So much for Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy prowess…

Former VP Dick Cheney says that Putin surely thinks Obama is weak.

President Obama doesn’t know how to spell R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Make no mistake dear reader, the war on obesity is a war on our liberty.

A Liberal Hollywood mogul is begging for tax cuts for his industry. Isn’t it ironic?
