Military analyst and Fox News contributor Sebastian Gorka slammed Senator Jeff Flake for likening President Donald Trump to Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin.
During an interview with MSNBC, Flake said that Trump calling the mainstream media “fake news” and referring to them as “the enemy of the American people,” was a tactic used by Stalin.
Flake said, “He borrowed that phrase, it was popularized by Joseph Stalin, used by Mao as well.”
To make matters worse, he is expected to use the same argument during a Senate floor speech on Wednesday.
“When a figure in power reflexively calls any press that doesn’t suit him ‘fake news,’ it is that person who should be the figure of suspicion, not the press,” part of his speech reads.
Gorka, whose parents fled to the United Kingdom from Hungary, told Lou Dobbs that Flake “should be ashamed of himself” for even bringing up a murderous regime like Stalin’s to go after President Trump.
“My parents lived under a Stalinist regime. My father was arrested and tortured and put in prison by a Stalinist regime. This man has no moral compass left anymore,” Gorka continued, “He has become a parody of a politician.”
He said Flake’s comments are an insult to anyone who died or suffered under actual “Stalinist” regimes.
Flake, who is not running for re-election this year, denounced Trump on the Senate floor in October, calling the president’s behavior “dangerous to our democracy.”
