Trump Warns: ‘Dems Want Amnesty, Prepare for Government Shutdown’

President Donald Trump tweeted to warn us about a possible government shut down, and from the looks of it, we are barreling ahead full speed.

Democrats want amnesty for all DACA Dreamers, no matter what the cost is. Trump said, “The Democrats want to shut down the Government over Amnesty for all and Border Security.”

He added that a government shutdown would greatly hurt our military forces considering we are “at a time we need it more than ever.”

“The Democrats want to shut down the Government over Amnesty for all and Border Security. The biggest loser will be our rapidly rebuilding Military, at a time we need it more than ever,” he concluded, “We need a merit based system of immigration, and we need it now! No more dangerous Lottery.”

IJR reports:

It’s unclear whether lawmakers will be able to get a presidential signature for a bipartisan solution to immigration. After Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) crafted a proposal last week, Trump complained it didn’t properly fund a border wall.

Meanwhile, Democrats have indicated they wouldn’t support legislation funding a border wall.

The tweets came after Trump received criticism over comments he allegedly made last week about immigration. Sources told The Washington Post that Trump, during a Thursday meeting, called African nations and Haiti “s**thole countries,” and he said he wanted to remove Haitian immigrants from the U.S.

Trump has outright denied making those comments.
