Finally! Al Franken Resigns

Al Franken resigns from the Senate. It is about time!

After promising to do so for a long time, Al Franken resigns from his Senate seat. He had said he would do so after stories about him groping women came out. Rather than denying these stories, Franken said he couldn’t remember and apologized if he had. This was in stark contrast to the response of Senate Candidate Roy Moore who denied the accusations against him.

Nevertheless, this is the kind of response we get from liberals to Franken’s resignation:

The Washington Examiner reports, “Al Franken submits official letter of resignation.

Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., submitted an official letter of resignation on Tuesday, cutting short his tenure in the U.S. Senate after several of his colleagues urged him to resign late last year amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

“I am grateful to Minnesotans for giving me the chance to serve our state and our nation, and I am proud to have worked on their behalf,” Franken said in his letter….
