Dear Men, Avoid This Cafe Like the Plague! They Charge 18% ‘Man Tax’

A vegan cafe (the fact that is vegan should already be a deterrence) is attempting to make up for the non-existent “wage gap.”

Their solution for the imaginary ideal is to charge an 18 percent “man tax.”

Handsome Her can be found in Brunswick, Australia, and should be avoided like the plague! Here are their “house rules” written on a board as you enter:

Rule #1: women have priority seating.”

Rule #2: men will be charged an 18% premium to reflect the gender pay gap (2016) which is donated to a women’s service.”

Rule #3: respect goes both ways.”

Restaurant owner Alex O’Brien said, “I do want people to think about it, because we’ve had this (pay discrepancy) for decades and decades and we’re bringing it to the forefront of people’s minds. I like that it is making men stop and question their privilege a little bit.”

This is nothing short of sexist discrimination. Everything this store stands for is based on false pretenses.

“We are not imposing the surcharge, it’s voluntary,” O’Brien added, “Men are asked if they want to pay the charge before being charged.”

Oh, great. So men aren’t automatically charged more. However, what man voluntarily pays more for a product to fix a wrong that isn’t even wrong? Not a smart, alpha male.

Any male who would pay that is beta and probably rolls over to have his belly patted after pleasing the scary feminists.
