Will Al Franken resign after the latest allegation?

Democrats have opposed the idea of having Al Franken resign, but the latest accuser seems to have changed that. Four Democrat Senators have responded by calling for his resignation. All of these Senators are women and are apparently fed up with Franken.

Of course, if these women want to win future elections, they may simply be trying to get in a position to attack Donald Trump and the Republicans. They realize that they will look like hypocrites if they don’t oppose Franken.

A former Democratic congressional aide is accusing the Minnesota Democrat of forcibly trying to kiss her 11 years ago, Politico reported Wednesday, adding to a string of allegations against him. In a statement, Franken denied the latest accusation against him.

In statements Wednesday, four of Franken’s female Democratic colleagues — Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire — pushed for him to step down.
