Sick! British Minister: ‘Pray 4-Year-Old Prince is Gay’

I came across this report on Independent Journal Review, and I nearly thought it was a joke because of how preposterous it is!

A British “minister” is actually urging Christians to pray for the 4-year-old prince to be gay, in order to advance LGBT rights! Are you kidding me? Why on earth would Christians pray for the young child to be a flamboyant sinner?

The Bible says in Matthew 18:6: “But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

God will not EVER cause a child (or anyone for that matter) to sin. Those prayers will be falling on deaf ears.

The IJR reports:

In a blog post about “LGBT inclusion,” the Rev. Kelvin Holdsworth, a senior Episcopal church minister at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Glasgow, said believers should pray “for the Lord to bless Prince George with a love, when he grows up, of a fine young gentleman.”

In August, a pro-LGBT media source published a piece that included a cute photo of Prince George simply being a child. However, they perverted it and said that “has become a gay icon overnight.” The photo then blew up on the internet, nearly over night.

The post Holdsworth penned includes a list of nine actions Christians could take to force the Church of England to change its policies regarding LGBT lifestyles.

The last action that the so-called minster noted said, “If people don’t want to engage in campaigning in this way, they do in England have another unique option, which is to pray in the privacy of their hearts (or in public if they dare) for the Lord to bless Prince George with a love, when he grows up, of a fine young gentleman.”

“A royal wedding,” he added, “might sort things out remarkably easily, though we might have to wait 25 years for that to happen. Who knows whether that might be sooner than things might work out by other means?”

What kind of disgusting person, a minister nonetheless, preys on an innocent child to advance a political agenda?

The Rev. Gavin Ashenden, a former minister to the queen, called Holdsworth’s comments “unkind” and “profoundly un-Christian,” describing the call to prayer as the “theological equivalent of the curse of the wicked fairy in one of the fairytales,” according to the Guardian.

Ashenden said, “To pray for Prince George to grow up in that way, particularly when part of the expectation he will inherit is to produce a biological heir with a woman he loves, is to pray in a way that would disable and undermine his constitutional and personal role.”

He concluded, “It is an unkind and destabilizing prayer. It is the theological equivalent of the curse of the wicked fairy in one of the fairytales. It is un-Christian as well as being anti-constitutional. It is a very long way from being a blessing for Prince George.”

None of the royals, included George’s parents, have commented on the minister’s actions.
