Texas Republicans Fighting Abortion

MSNBC and pro-death Democrats the nation over cheered when Texas State Senator Wendy Davis and a mob of unruly liberals were able to shout down legislation that would have made women’s clinics in Texas much safer places. They derided the Republican led bill meant to assure Texans that there would be no Gosnell’s in Texas as a measure to destroy the rights of women all over the state. So enraptured are they with their message of death and destruction, that they would do anything to make sure as many babies are aborted as possible.

Their “motto of safe, legal and rare” has simply become “LEGAL”.

Fortunately for Texas and for thousands of children who will be born in Texas in the coming years, Governor Perry and Lt. Governor Dewhurst are men of principle and men of action. Immediately after the Davis led defeat of the very popular legislation, Governor Perry announced that he would be calling the legislature into another special session, where the abortion legislation would be voted on.

Davis, still defiant in her stand towards the will of the people of Texas and towards the heart of our Almighty God, said:

“These are matters of personal liberty. In Texas, we hold very dear to intrusions against our personal liberty. We fight very hard against that. And we will fight as we begin the session again on Monday. And even if this bill passes, obviously there will be challenges to it going forward.”

Well, I wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Davis – these are matters of personal liberty.

However, while she sides with people who have chosen to engage in sexual activity knowing that the outcome could be the production of life and then callously choose to murder that life… I side with the personal liberty of the innocent child who cannot even raise their arms to defend themselves from their murderous parents.

I have already railed against the evil that is embodied in the words and actions of Senator Wendy Davis, but again I have to point out the depravity of a culture that lionizes a woman who advocates for the legality of murdering children.

We study ancient history and always find ourselves sickened at the thought of human sacrifice among pagan, backward and uncivilized societies – and yet are we any better? Over the last forty years we have sacrificed over 40 million precious souls to the god of secularism in the name of personal liberty.

perrythinksAmerica, we are no better than the savages of old. In fact, we are worse – because we have the Truth of Scripture to show us our folly and the truth of science to show the nonbeliever these children are indeed alive and do indeed feel pain. Still we proceed with our immorality.

Thankfully Governor Perry is ready to stand up for the unborn and he wants to assure Texans that the bill, “will pass overwhelmingly and will become the law in the state… I think the voice of the people of Texas will be heard.”

Not just the voice of the people of Texas, Governor, but the voices of thousands of children as well.
