Perverse Pope Francis Attacks Climate Change “Deniers”

The perverse Pope seems to be harsher on unbelievers of man-made climate change than on real sins condemned in the Bible.

It is appropriate to refer to Francis as the perverse Pope because he uses his authority to label manmade climate change skeptics as perverse. There was a time when the Church referred to the idea of same-sex marriage as perverse, but I don’t think he would get as enthusiastic a response from politicians and the media if he spoke that way about homosexuality.

Pope Francis on Thursday rebuked those who deny the science behind global warming and urged negotiators at climate talks in Germany to avoid falling prey to such “perverse attitudes” and instead accelerate efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

Francis issued a message to the Bonn meeting, which is working to implement the 2015 Paris accord aimed at capping global emissions.

He claimed four attitudes were wrong in dealing with climate change.

“We must avoid falling into these four perverse attitudes, which certainly don’t help honest research and sincere, productive dialogue,” he said.
