Evidence of the Silicon Valley Cult

A former Google Exec shows that there may be a literal Silicon Valley cult.

The evidence of the Silicon Valley cult is found in the recent initiative to start a denomination—a church that worship technology and thinks that Artificial Intelligence is God. Of course, worshiping the works of human hands is called idolatry.

Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
They have mouths, but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.
Those who make them become like them;
so do all who trust in them. (Psalm 115:4-8; ESV)

People worship a “god” they control to exalt themselves but, in doing so, dehumanize themselves. Worshiping artificial intelligence will make humans as dumb as machines.

PJ Media reports, “Ex-Google Executive Registers First Church of AI With IRS.

A former executive at Google has filed paperwork with the IRS to establish an official religion of technology. This religion doesn’t just worship scientific progress, but artificial intelligence itself, with the goal of creating a godhead.

The new church of AI will aim “to develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on artificial intelligence and through understanding and worship of the Godhead [to] contribute to the betterment of society,” according to IRS documents.

The non-profit religious organization would be called “Way of the Future” (WOTF). According to the website (wayofthefuture.church), the movement is “about creating a peaceful and respectful transition of who is in charge of the planet from people to people + ‘machines.'”
