Man Who Assaulted Rand Paul was Liberal

The Leftist assaulted Rand Paul with such forced that he broke five of his ribs and risked fatally injuring him.

Neighbor Rene Boucher assaulted Rand Paul Saturday, seriously injuring him. The initial media reports I saw did not acknowledge how much pain Paul was suffering, how long it may take to heal, or how easily he could have died.

We don’t know what the motive was for the assault, but we do know two things: First, Boucher was quite liberal. Second, if a right-winger attacked a liberal politician the national news media would give the attack a lot more coverage.

AP reports, “Paul recovering from 5 broken ribs.

Senior Adviser Doug Stafford said it is unclear when the Republican will return to work since he is in considerable pain and has difficulty getting around, including flying.

“This type of injury is caused by high velocity severe force,” Stafford said in an email to The Associated Press.

The Bowling Green Daily News reported that an arrest warrant said Paul told police his neighbor came on his property and tackled him from behind Friday, forcing him to the ground. He had trouble breathing because of a rib injury, the warrant said.

Stafford said Paul had three displaced fractures, which can lead to life-threatening injuries, as well as lung contusions.

Jim Skaggs, a member of the state Republican Party executive committee, lives in the neighborhood and has known both men for years. He said they disagreed politically, but was shocked to hear of the incident.

“They were as far left and right as you can be,” Skaggs said.
