Sanders Dumbs Down Tax Plan in Simple Explanation, Even Liberals Can Understand

Sarah Huckabee Sanders is used to handing hot responses to idiot reporters and ridiculous liberals. However, this may just be the best speech she has given at a press conference thus far.

In an attempt to dumb down how taxes work and explain the new tax plan, she created a scenario that even my elementary-aged brother could understand. Therefore, even liberals should be able to understand it. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if it still flies straight over their head.

Her extended tax analogy explanation involving reporters and beer started out, “Suppose that every day, ten people – for our purposes, we’ll say reporters – go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.”

She continued, “If these 10 reporters paid their tab every night the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: The first four, the poorest, would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1.”

“The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth, the richest, would pay $59. So that’s what they decided to do.”

“The ten reporters drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the bar owner threw them a curveball: ‘Since you’re all such good customers,’ he said, ‘I’m gonna reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.'”

This means that drinks for the ten reporters will only be $80 now instead of $100. However, even with the discount, the reporters decided to still pay their bill under the same system that we pay taxes. Therefore the first four were still unaffected and continued to drink for free.

So how would the other 5 divide the difference to make it fair? Sanders explains it in detail in the press conference below:
