Singer Joy Villa stole our hearts on the carpet during the 2017 Grammy Awards as she made her entrance wearing a stunning “Make America Great Again” dress in honor of President Trump. Now she has us holding our breath again after announcing that she is considering a run for Congress.
She said during a “Fox and Friends” interview, “I’m looking at Florida, I’m looking at California and I’m looking at New York, because these are all places I live and work and have grown up in.”
She confidently added that she would use a flawless strategy, “If I run, I’m going to win.”
Villa said, “There’s such a need for good congressmen, for good people in office who are putting forth the aims of the people, not just their own agenda.”
She said many women in Congress – like Reps. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Frederica Wilson (D-FL) – are ruining the country, and it’s time for strong women to step up and take leadership roles.
Villa said she would run on President Trump’s platform, emphasizing tax reform, legal immigration, helping American families and making America great again.
“I’d be running as an outsider, but definitely running as a Republican,” she said.
She may be running as an outsider but I would certainly vote for her! Wouldn’t you??
Villa is even being backed by President Trump too! He tweeted out to her, “Good luck to @Joy_Villa on her decision to enter the wonderful world of politics. She has many fans!”
