The Las Vegas killer had also purchased software to erase a hard drive.
The accused Las Vegas killer either removed the hard drive from his laptop, or someone else removed it. Oddly, he reportedly bought software designed to wipe his hard drive (did he get directions from Hillary Clinton?). So, what happened? Did he change his mind and decide to physically destroy the hard drive?
Another question: Why did he feel it was necessary to hide the content of his hard drive if he expected to die?
ABC News reports, “Las Vegas shooter’s laptop missing its hard drive.”
Paddock is believed to have removed the hard drive before fatally shooting himself, and the missing device has not yet been recovered, sources told ABC News.
Investigators digging into Paddock’s background also learned he purchased software designed to erase files from a hard drive, but without the hard drive to examine it is impossible to know if he ever used the software, one source said.
There are also other problems with the laptop with the missing hard drive.
