Bannon Blasts George W. Bush

George W. Bush took an obvious jab at President Trump, after nearly a decade of silence, and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, aka the bulldog, is not having it!

Bush gave a speech stating that America needed to stand up against white supremacy, and that “bigotry seems emboldened” in our country now. He also urged for the U.S. to accept “globalization.”

Bannon fired back at the California Republican Party convention banquet, “There has not been a more destructive presidency than George Bush’s.”

He continued, “It was clear he didn’t understand anything he was talking about,” Bannon said. “He has no earthly idea of whether he’s coming or going, just like it was when he was president of the United States.”

The Hill reports:

Bannon is leading what he calls a “season of war” on the Republican establishment heading into the 2018 midterm elections. He is backing primary challengers in multiple states, after his candidate successfully won the special Alabama Senate primary against an establishment (and Trump)-backed opponent in September.

Bannon, former White House chief strategist and founding member of the board for Breitbart Media, in July 2016 referred to his conservative media site as “the platform for the alt-right” during an interview with Mother Jones. The reference is often cited by critics in the ongoing national conversation about white supremacist beliefs among alt-right supporters of Trump.

Bannon is waging war agains the GOP from outside the White House walls. From the looks of it, he is doing more damage now than he ever could have while part of the administration.
