California Lawsuit Will Oppose Border Wall

Using allegations of environmental damage, and state’s rights, the California lawsuit will try to get the courts to stop the wall.

If I understand it correctly, this California lawsuit will contend that the border is California’s responsibility, not the Federal government’s. That is not only incredible on its face, but it completely contradicts the position that liberals took on Arizona’s attempt the enforce Federal law. Remember? Arizona wasn’t supposed to enforce Federal immigration law because it was only a Federal responsibility. But now California is arguing that Trump’s wall violates the state’s responsibilities.

California’s attorney general plans to file a lawsuit on Wednesday challenging President Donald Trump’s plan to construct a wall along the border with Mexico, the state AG’s office said, adding to the obstacles facing a key Trump campaign promise.
