Al Not-So-Sharp Sharpton: ‘I Hope Trump Doesn’t get in the Way of Hurricane Response’

Al Sharpton doesn’t quite live up to his name, does he? Sharpton? More like Sharpless!

Sharpton used a quick spotlight to take a jab at President Donald Trump that really isn’t even relevant. He said he hopes Trump’s behavior doesn’t get in the way of Hurricane response teams in Texas.

Hurricane Harvey has been upgraded to a category 4 hurricane, and is one of the worst hurricanes to hit Texas in YEARS! Trump has been closely monitoring the storm and is on standby to help the people of Texas as soon as they can.

Now that is a president! He’s tweeted out today:

So where exactly in all of that is Sharpton expecting Trump to halt the relief in Texas after the storm? Somewhere in the middle of him wishing them safety?

Breitbart reports:

Sharpton said that current political tension is higher than he’s ever seen and that this tension is “really being generated out of the Oval Office.”

He added, “I would hope that this president does not add fuel to the fire by start[ing] tweeting and doing other things irresponsibly. I disagreed with President Bush in terms of FEMA and all, but that was an institutional neglect, and we’re talking about levies and all. We’re talking about here a person’s kind of behavior that I hope doesn’t get in the way. And I hope government works.”

Sharpton added, “And I hope that President Trump shows the leadership we need at this point. This is not a time for people to be taking potshots at each other.”
