Charleston fallout is exposing one deep state pawn in the White House after another; maybe Donald Trump wanted that to happen.
Gary Cohn is the latest deep state pawn to out himself. The deep state is doing all it can to delegitimize the Trump Presidency and Cohn, whether he understands that or not, is doing what they want. Ridiculously, he says Trump should “do better” and thus admits that Trump did in fact condemn “Nazis.” So how much “better” must he “do”? Does anyone imagine that Trump could ever do enough to satisfy the media?
“This administration can and must do better in consistently and unequivocally condemning these groups and do everything we can to heal the deep divisions that exist in our communities,” Cohn told the Financial Times.[…]
Cohn, who is Jewish, was reportedly “disgusted” and “appalled” with Trump’s response to white nationalists’ role in the violence in Charlottesville. The president blamed “both sides” for the violence, which left one counterprotester dead.
“Citizens standing up for equality and freedom can never be equated with white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and the KKK,” Cohn told the FT.
Citizens who attacked people for exercising their freedom of speech is whom the President condemned. Cohn is denying citizens get to exercise the First Amendment if they hold evil ideas. And citizens who march under the old Soviet Communist flag are associating with a much higher body count than any Nazi larper.
By the way, a CNN panel (!) had a much more reasonable view of Trump and Charlottesville:
