President Donald Trump made it clear that he would not be accepting the presidential salary. Instead, he will be donating all of it back to America, and putting it to good use where it is needed.

He wants to cut costs where possible, and decided that his salary could be better used for Americans than for himself.  His first-quarter salary was donated to the Department of Interior.

Our selfless president has decided to donate his second quarter salary of $100,000 to the Department of Education.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “It’s that time again, as many of you have probably noticed, for us to announce where the president will be donating his quarterly salary,” she continued,  “This quarter the president will be donating his salary to the Department of Education.”

Then Besty DeVos was introduced and she explained that the donation will be used to fund a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) camp. She said, “The president is committed to our nation’s students, and to reforming education in America so that every child, no matter their ZIP code, has access to a high-quality education.”

She also thanks the President, stating that she is grateful for the generous donation.

According to Fox News:

The Trump administration has also proposed a 13 percent cut to the Education Department’s budget, slashing it by $9.2 billion.

It looks like big things are happening, folks! I can’t wait to see what else is in store.
