What We’re Reading February 7, 2014

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Friday February 7, 2014.

President Obama shows his hypocritical nature once again, as he expounds on the many dangers to religious freedom while his administration is forced to defend itself against over 200 lawsuits involving religious freedom!

Speaking of hypocrites – have you met PETA? A report details how PETA slaughtered over 2,000 shelter animals in 2013 alone. They’ve killed over 31,000 since 1998.

It looks like John Boehner (R-OH) may finally be getting the message as he seems to be putting the brakes on his headlong rush into immigration reform. “There’s widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws. And it’s going to be difficult to move any immigration legislation until that changes,” Boehner said.

So much for that Russia reset, huh? Press Secretary Jay Carney blames Russia for leaking a recording of an American diplomat saying “F*** the EU.”

An Israeli widow whose husband was indeed murdered blasts Secretary of State John Kerry for saying no Israeli’s had been murdered. The man is a buffoon.

Twitter is considering suing the Obama administration for the many excesses the NSA has been taking with the private information of American citizens.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe has been on the job for a couple of short months and has already broken major state laws. Will he be punished or will Virginia Democrats simply change the law for him?

A recent study shows that violent video games leave teenagers emotionally immature.

Beloved Mets broadcaster and former Pittsburgh Pirates slugger, Ralph Kiner, has passed away at 91.
