Kathy Griffin is now a household name across the nation. Although she is a comedian (or so I’ve been told) many people did not even really know who she was until she took the world stage to post a photo that she called “art.” That photo was of her holding a bloodied mannequin head, made to look like the President.
Then, after her photo hit the internet, Griffin received some SERIOUS blacklash. She was dropped by all of her endorsements, contracts were broken, and her ten year relationship with CNN came to a screeching halt.
Of course Griffin cried that she was the victim here and that Donald Trump was trying to ruin her life. We all laughed at her for that one.
In case you missed the tearfully hilarious scene:
For possibly the first time ever, Griffin was right. Her career is OVER! Now her downward spiral is out of control.
Al Franken cancelled an event he had scheduled with his colleague in comedy, and Squatty Potty discontinued their contract with her as well.
But things only went downhill from there…
Griffin has since had seven venues cancel her scheduled tour stops.
We’ve learned Kathy’s concert at the Uptown Theatre in Napa scheduled for June 17 has been canceled. This follows 6 other cancelations, including bergenPAC in New Jersey which canceled hours before Kathy’s news conference.
The Uptown Theatre cancelation is especially significant because the decision was apparently made after she took the mic with her lawyer. The Uptown folks said on Wednesday the show would go on, but they clearly had a change of heart.
Perhaps Kathy should have considered all of this BEFORE she posted a terroristic photo of herself holding the president’s head? She is probably at the top of every ISIS member’s marry list now.
