Apartment Complex Gives Military Mother Slap to the Face

Tod Starnes reported about a A Kansas City mother who was recently demanded to remove the American Flag that was flying on the balcony of her Cordillera Ranch apartment.

Kerry White, stepmother of an active duty service member as well as the daughter of a Vietnam War veteran, had an American flag on her deck to demonstrate her support for our troops. She bought the flag for memorial day weekend, and then she received a letter from the apartment management stating that her flag was a problem, and they ordered that she take it down immediately.

White told Fox4“I just didn’t understand what their problem was with having an American flag to support our troops,” she continued, “It’s our country, support our country, support our troops, they go out and they fight for our country and they defend us so why wouldn’t we want to fly an American flag to support them?”

On Thursday, she returned home from work to discover a letter from management. She was notified that she was in violation of her lease.

“Your lease agreement states that patios and balconies are to be kept clean and orderly and are not to be used for storage,” the letter read.

They gave her 24 hours to remove the flag or “we will dispose them.”

“How are you going to dispose of it? Are you going to throw it in the trash?” she wondered.

Fearing the management would desecrate Old Glory, Ms. White did as she was instructed and removed the flag.

Management did not return calls seeking comment.

Of course it is up to the discretion of the apartment management to determine what they will and will not allow to hang from the balconies….but an American flag? Really?

People have been giving the complex bad ratings, and are very upset about their crappy decision.

I can agree with these commenters. I would not want to live somewhere that is not patriotic. I don’t have the time or patience to deal with people like that!
