Georgia Dems Have Delusional Reaction to Jon Ossoff’s Latest Poll Numbers

A Democrat pollster in Georgia had some news for everyone watching the race in Georgia’s 6th District and apparently it’s made the Democrats a little crazy.

In the days following Democrat Jon Ossoff’s election “victory,” party pollsterJohn Anzalone took the temperature of the voters in Georgia’s 6th and found that… NOTHING had changed for Ossoff but a lot had changed for his Republican challenger Karen Handel. Ossoff won about 48% of the vote on election night, Anzalone’s poll showed that a week later he was still stuck at the same 48%. Meanwhile, Karen Handel had climbed from 17% on election night to 47% just days later!

However, Anzalone and Ossoff seemed to read something in the poll results that the rest of us must be missing. While Ossoff’s numbers didn’t budge, and Handel’s jumped by 30%… both men argued that it was Ossoff who had the “momentum.”

I’m not sure about you, but it seems that Anzalone and Ossoff may have a different working definition of “momentum” than the rest of us.

Momentum as defined by Webster’s Dictionary:

  1. :  a property (see property 1a) of a moving body that the body has by virtue of its mass (see 2mass 1c) and motion and that is equal to the product of the body’s mass and velocity; broadly :  a property of a moving body that determines the length of time required to bring it to rest when under the action of a constant force or moment

  2. 2:  strength or force gained by motion or by a series of events The wagon gainedmomentum as it rolled down the hill.

Do you notice the common theme in those definitions? The word “motion.”

Let me ask you this, which of the two candidates is showing any forward “motion”? Ossoff whose numbers haven’t budged? Or Handel who’s numbers tripled in less than a week?

I think you know the answer, and I think you can see as clearly as I can that it’s not Ossoff who should be laying claim to the title of “momentum” holder.
